Wichita State senior Conner Frankamp will look to add to his trophy case on Final Four weekend when he competes in the 30th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships.

Intersport, producers of the event, announced Frankamp as one of eight men’s basketball seniors selected to take part in the three-point contest on Thursday, March 29 at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. The event will air live on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. CT.

As a high school senior at Wichita North, Frankamp won the 2013 US Marines 3-Point Championship on Final Four weekend, beating out future UCLA Bruin Bryce Alford in the final when he sank 22-of-25 attempts. At WSU, Frankamp was three-time champion of the Shocker Madness three-point contest.

The 6-foot-1 Frankamp set a school record earlier this year, connecting on at least one three-pointer in 40 consecutive games. Despite playing just two-and-a-half seasons as a Shocker, he ends his career ranked sixth on the school’s all-time three-point field goal chart (164).

Frankamp was also the nation’s most accurate free throw shooter in his senior season, going a perfect 34-for-34. His .884 free throw percentage ranks second on WSU’s career list.

Over the last 29 years, several of the top players in college basketball have competed in the College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships including: Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Jason Terry, Kyle Korver, Bobby Hurley, Michael Finley, Damon Stoudamire, Allan Houston, Denzel Valentine, Yogi Ferrell, Wes Matthews, Cappie Pondexter, Katie Gearlds, and Kristi Toliver.
