HAYS – Wednesday, February 2, 2022 is National Signing Day as Fort Hays State head football coach Chris Brown and the Tiger football coaching staff announce signings for the 2022 season. The next Tiger Football recruiting class will be sending in their National Letters of Intent (NLI) throughout the day.

Notes: All-state and all-league selection as a kicker…Selected to participate in Kansas Shrine Bowl.

Ryan Allen, WR, 5-9, 165, Highlands Ranch, Colo. / Lutheran HS
Notes: All-conference selection and named to all-state academic first team…Voted team’s best skill player…Had 35 receptions for 601 yards as a senior.

Ty Battle, RB, 6-0, 195, Orlando, Fla. / Edgewater HS
Notes: As a senior, recorded 130 carries for 1,019 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Tre Carter, CB, 6-0, 180, Tulsa, Okla. / Holland Hall HS
Notes: As a senior recorded 27 tackles, 9 passes defended and 1 blocked kick on defense, while adding 17 catches for 213 yards and seven touchdowns on offense.

Sebastian De La Espriella, 6-4, 295, Bushland, Texas / Bushland HS
Notes: All-district selection as both an offensive lineman and defensive lineman…State qualifier in track and field.

Vincent Dubose, LB, 6-0, 215, West Palm Beach, Fla. / Palm Beach Gardens HS
Notes: Two-time all-county first team selection on defense…Earned his team’s Defensive Player of the Year…Among the Top 65 players in Palm Beach County according to ESPN…Produced 96 tackles, 11 sacks, 22 tackles for loss, and four forced fumbles.

Notes: All-state first team running back…Earned district MVP honors…Recorded 1,300 rushing yards on 67 carries and added 200 receiving yards as a senior.

Caleb Heavner, QB, 6-2, 215, Denison, Texas / Denison HS
Notes: Two-time all-district selection…Leading passer in school history…Nominee for Texasland Player of the Year…Earned team’s MVP award…Received Elite 11 and Under Armour All-America Regional Invites…Threw for 4,234 yards and rushed for over 1,000 yards with 53 total touchdowns in his prep career.
