NORTH NEWTON – The Bethel College Athletic Department is excited to announce the launch of the new BethelThreshers.com! Users will immediately notice a vast difference from the old website, and we hope you are able to enjoy all of the great features that have come with the update!

“As we strive to enhance Bethel College Athletics within everything we are doing, our website is a large component of this process,” explained Athletic Director Tony Hoops. “I’m extremely pleased to release this new website to our Bethel stakeholders. We know that for many, this site is their main source of communication with all of our programs. I know the enhanced features will provide current students, parents, alumni, and new recruits a great opportunity to access all of the information that makes Bethel College Athletics special.”

One of these enhanced features will undoubtedly be the most noticable as you access the website, and those are the header images. A newly designed Bethel Threshers logo stands out in the center, with a continuous video of a wind-blown wheat field to it’s left, and a rotating image of Thresher student-athletes to it’s right.

“I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out. Unfortunately Trey Ronnebaum and Nadya Bucklin had to give up their prime real-estate on the old header image, but I hope they are okay with it,” joked Sports Information Director Josh Booth. “When I took over this position last summer, one of my first tasks I wanted to accomplish was a re-design of the website. Our logo is unique to say the least, and I think adding the wheat field blowing in the wind nicely compliments the threshing stone and the history of what Bethel College is founded on. It also adds a flair to the website few others have.”

As you scroll down on the homepage, you’ll notice an updated news article section, as well as a more informative and updated schedule module. The sport-specific schedules have also been updated, and feature a bit more information to them.

“Our continued partnership with SID Help was tremendous during this re-design process. I appreciate all the work Josh Booth did for this website in working throughout the past three months to make our website a top of the line feature for all of our programs,” stated Hoops.

New features to the homepage include a “Thresher Spotlight” and “Recent Recruits” section.

“Both of these modules put a “spotlight” on current and future Thresher student-athletes,” explained Booth. “I think that is something our old website lacked, and I think these two areas will be great in promoting the stories and faces that make up Bethel College Athletics.”

Another feature for users is the ability to find stats right at your fingertips. From this point forward, game recaps will include a box score from the contest integrated into the article. The updated player profiles on their team’s roster will also have direct links to the articles when they are mentioned, as well as their seasonal stats.

“Tony Hoops knew this was a project we needed to jump on right away when he took over his position this summer, and I am thankful for the support he gave me during this process,” commented Booth. “We also would like to thank VP of Marketing & Communications Lori Livengood for her input and support with this.”

The other big upgrade which comes with a new website are new athletic-specific apps for your mobile phones! The apps are in a testing phase at the moment, and will be available for download to Android and iOS systems very soon. We highly encourage our users to download these apps, as they embrace much of this website re-design into their operations, and make it extremely easy to stream Bethel Thresher athletic events right on your phone! An announcement will be made when they are launched.
