HAYS – After trailing by as many as eight in the first half, the third-ranked Fort Hays State women’s basketball team rallied after halftime to knock off Pittsburg State in the 2019 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship Central Region quarterfinals Friday evening, 74-65.
With the win, the Tigers now advance to the regional semifinals set for Saturday evening inside Gross Memorial Coliseum. FHSU will take on the winner of No. 4 seed Minnesota Duluth and No. 5 seed MSU Moorhead.
