KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabods climbed from No. 10 to No. 5 in the lastest National Association of Basketball Coaches Poll that was released today. It is the highest ranking for the Ichabods since the 2012-13 season when the Ichabods were ranked No. 2 in the first four polls of the season.

The Ichabods moved up five places in the rankings after defeating Central Missouri 80-60 on Dec. 17 in their only action of the week after the Lincoln game was postponed due to the Blue Tigers being unable to play because of COVID-19 protocols.

Washburn will be back in action on Jan. 2, 2021 at Northeastern State in a game that is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Tahlequah, Okla.
