KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second time in his Washburn career, senior guard Tyler Geiman has been named the MIAA Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 29 points in the No. 5-ranked Ichabods’ 85-84 overtime win at Northeastern State in their only action last week. Geiman also received the award on Dec. 16, 2019.
With the Ichabods trailing 55-43 with 11:15 to play in the game, Geiman scored eight-straight points jump starting a 17-2 run pushing the Ichabods in front 60-57 with 7:18 to play. Geiman scored 15 in the second half and four of the Ichabods’ 11 points in the overtime period en route to 29 points adding nine rebounds and six assists playing 43 of 45 minutes overall.
The No. 5 Ichabods will face top-ranked Northwest Missouri on Thursday in Maryville, Mo. at 7:30 p.m. in Bearcat Arena.
