HAYS – Fort Hays State head softball coach Adrian Pilkington has announced the signing of Reese and Regan Curry in advance of the 2022 season. The twins were standout performers at Oskaloosa High School in Oskaloosa, Kan., where they helped the Bears to a pair of state runner-up finishes in 2018 and 2019 before reaching the regional title game in 2021.
The Bears accumulated an overall record of 61-9 during the Curry’s three seasons on the varsity squad. Despite the cancellation of their junior season in 2020, the duo broke or tied 11 school records and both earned numerous all-state honors. The pair were multi-sport athletes at OHS, also competing in basketball and volleyball. They initially signed with Central Arkansas before transferring to FHSU.

Reese Curry came out of high school as the 286th-ranked prospect according to Extra Inning Softball. She earned second team All-State honors as a sophomore after receiving honorable mention All-State status as a freshman. She also earned Northeast Kansas League all-league honors as a sophomore and senior.
Regan broke or tied three school records at OHS, including triples in a season (eight), single game runs scored (five) and triples in a game (two).

Regan Curry wrapped up her prep career ranked 251st according to FloSoftball and 299th according to Extra Inning Softball. A three-time all-league selection, Regan also earned first team All-State honors in 2019 and honorable mention All-State accolades as a freshman in 2018. She was one of two shortstops from a seven-state area to be named to the NFCA South Central Region first team as a sophomore in 2019.
Regan broke or tied eight school records, including career triples (15), single season runs scored (51), single season hits (56), single season batting average (.675), single season RBI (44), single game hits (five), single game doubles (five) and single game runs scored (five).
