MIAA announces bracket and seeding for baseball tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Emporia State won the MIAA regular season championship last weekend and will be the top seed in the MIAA Baseball Tournament as the bracket and seeding were announced today.

Games will be played starting on May 11 and run through May 14 from Warren Turner Field in Joplin, Mo. The first day will open with the 9 a.m. game featuring third seeded Lindenwood taking on sixth seeded Southwest Baptist. The second game of the day will pit second seed Missouri Western against seventh seed Northwest Missouri with a scheduled 12:30 p.m. start.

In the scheduled 4 p.m. game top seeded Emporia State will take on eighth seed Missouri Southern. In the final game of the first day fourth seeded Central Missouri will play fifth seeded Central Oklahoma in a scheduled 7:30 p.m. start.

Schedule Notes
If Games 13 and 14 are not necessary the championship game will begin at 12:30 p.m.
If Game 13 is not necessary and Game 14 is played the game times will be Game 14 at 12:30 p.m. and Championship at 4 p.m.
If Game 14 is not necessary and 13 is played the game times will be Game 13 9 a.m. and Championship at 12:30 p.m.
