KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Benedictine College has claimed the first-ever Heart of America Athletic Conference Commissioner’s Cup after their overall performance through three sports season during 2018-19. The award will be formally presented at the Heart Conference Summit on July 29.

Benedictine and William Penn tied in the final standings, both accumulating 51 points, but the tie was broken based on head-to-head regular-season conference finishes. The Ravens earned a significant amount of points in the fall after claiming top spots in football, men’s cross country, and women’s soccer. They also took the regular season title for men’s basketball during the winter season.

The Statesmen, who finished the fall standings in 10th place, made a comeback with strong winter and spring showings. William Penn claimed top spots in women’s basketball, women’s bowling, women’s golf, and baseball.

Rounding out the top five were Central Methodist (51 points), Grand View (50 points), and Baker (42 points).
